ParticipantI am a developer/analyst and have come upon Suneido via IT contracting with a trucking company that uses the Axon software. I like the general look and feel that Suneido offers but find it may be too quirky to learn – not quirky in that it is very unusual, just appears to have less-than-desirable documentation.
Thus my questions are:
a. where do I find a good manual? I see lots of instructions for Suneido, but they are scattered and not linked to each other. The only book I find online appears to be a simple compilation of online wiki articles. In lieu of a book, perhaps experienced users may be able to map out a simple learning strategy to enable me to learn the system in a more organized fashion. I appreciate the efforts of of those who have submitted instructions, but there is no “master” look and feel to the layouts.
b. Is Suneido used with any medical applications? Most of my work is done in this field with medical registries and EMR/EHRprograms. If Suneido is a factor in this industry, then I have more justification learning it.
c. Is there a place I can see the extent of development with Suneido? Again, if it is widely used, Ihave more reason to learn it.
If nothing else, perhaps I can learn just enough to export the tables I need into another program to do the requested tasks at hand.
I program primarily in VBA now, have used Cobol, Fortran, Pascal, and a little “C”.
As an aside, I had to switch to IE to enter this new topic. Chrome would not allow me to enter a new topic, saying that too many redirections were taking place. Never saw this before….
Thanks in advance,
TW

KeymasterThe only “manual” is the help included in Suneido (in the standard download). It’s mostly a reference but there are some tutorial sections.
I don’t know of any medical applications. (but that doesn’t mean they aren’t out there)
Suneido is used by various people and companies but it is not very widespread.
I have run into the Chrome redirection problem – it has something to do with logging in to SourceForge versus logging into the forum. I think if you log out and back in it fixes it. (I am using Chrome to post this.)
Note: Axon’s software already has export facilities. I would suggest you contact Axon directly (via your trucking client) and talk to them about the requirements.
